It really all depends on how they want to play it. There have been rumors that the Series X may release at $399 and take a monumental loss on initial costs akin to what they did with the xbox 360 (which cost them $700 to manufacture)
I really think a better move for them would be dropping the paywall for online play and using that momentum shift to get more folks on the platform to support Gamepass/Xcloud.
You listed one game slated for launch tho.
That’s the problem. If I can wait a year and some change for a $50-$100 price drop or bundle for when Horizon and Ratchet and Clank releases why would I grab one at launch for mostly 3rd party game’s that’ll run better on the Series X if I planned on getting both and needed some factors to figure which to go with first,
I sincerely doubt Sony will launch the Ps5 with the only exclusives being Spider-Man and Godfa...
Xbox has been rolling out information since December. No one was starved for information or begging for information since the competition was sharing information for months either.
So Inside Xbox having less interest than a multiple weeks hyped post reopening the world event so fans can finally see a console that’s never been shown kind of is a no brainer.
Both Xbox and PlayStation alike are back to tweets pertaining to the actual games getting no more th...
Agree with Rich.
Halo Infinite, The Medium, Initiative Project, Playground project, Hellblade 2, project Mara..
Gameplay for those games would seal the deal especially if they are graphical masterpieces.. but considering what I listed above is a shortened list is mere fraction of the potential showings... there’s a 16th studio we don’t know about.
After yesterday I don’t see team Xbox shooting themselves in the foot by not being able to showcase anything that will be comp...
I think current gen Forza 8 might outperform GT7 even being cross gen. Turn 10 actually does good work and pushed the genre forward the past few installments.
Not the one where people think today’s showing was an indication of what next gen can offer on visuals. Horizon looks good but I refuse to believe that’s the bar set for games releasing hopefully in the first 2 years.
The cross gen and ssd jargon was a fluke... still to this day both sides don’t have me super excited for next generation from a visuals standpoint other than what Ratchet and Clank pulled off with the world changing.. but nothing screamed mega I/o throughput. ...
Yeah because they showed hella unshackled game’s today lmaoooooo
And I bet run better too.
What game screamed only possible on ps5 outside of ratchet and Clank? I was expecting the omission of cross generation to bear some better results but if Horizon is the bar.. do we believe cross gen Series X will not surpass those visuals in their July showing?
The doors wide open for Xbox to land some contradictory blows by being cross gen and having better looking games with closer release dates... it’s setting up an interesti...
And all but one of those for before 2022 I bet lol.
DLI might play a bigger role for fighters than horsepower.
I kinda wonder what 1st party games people are feasibly expecting from the PlayStation 2020-2022.
People are just expecting when there’s not much evidence pointing towards anything. You can use past console launches and the current release frames of their recent titles and clearly see there won’t be much unless they’ve done some big acquisitions and made larger teams.
Disagree fairies otw.. but it will be 3rd party pay outs keeping the Ps5 afloat. The Blo...
The Initiative, 343, Playground and The Coalition are A to AA teams lol heard that.
Just recently purchased a high end monitor from dealing with TV solely for years and ME:Andromeda fired up on the Xbox one x is truly a sight to behold adds a layer of immersion that made the game more enjoyable for me this time around.
Their first party AAAs. Hopefully they have some for launch but if not waiting’s no biggie if they are cheaper by then. I’m not really banking on Horizon, God of War, or Spider-Man Ps5 in 2020 or 2021.. but they pulled some nice ones out with outsourcing for things like Bloodborne and The Order.. so maybe they have some things ready by that extent.
Another one of these jeez... how many game’s do you guys think are releasing in these next 2 years that are big ambitious SSD driven open blockbusters??
730 days people.. unless you’re a completionist I bet you’ll get 6 days of playtime out of whatever “SSD ONLY” games on either side release. That’s including The Medium.
Microsoft isn’t just supporting the old they are making gaming timeless... they are showing you that even tho Cyberpunk 2077 is a last g...
All depends on the content.
Xcloud is the only service that will thrive in Japan if they get the content. It would require no additional hardware purchase.. so if they can snag some of the game jrpgs usually bound to home consoles and make them available on your phone I can see it working
What guys? I have an extensive knowledge of this stuff from MBGs comment section on YouTube. Don’t test the knowledge.
At least in the US most of the casuals of gamers of lower income almost always go with physical and with PlayStation being the bigger brand it’s mostly PlayStation players stuck in that demographic.
The all digital edition won’t prosper in the US that I’m sure of.
